This is going way back to a watercolor from 1982. It was a weekend visit to Salado, Texas, and this kitty on the porch was just posing for me. I had recently moved back home from Williamsburg, Virginia. I was 22, and interested in exploring small town Texas. Salado was close to home, and at this time beginning to be known as an arts community with fun galleries to look through. I chose to give the painting to my Aunt Lynda Hammock. She has always loved cats, and the painting made me think of her. She and my grandfather made a frame for the painting, and this is the only photo that I have of the artwork.
